1. Privacy Policy
1.1 Who we are
Almiut Solutions W.L.L (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides MeridianPDF, a desktop PDF application for Windows and macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use MeridianPDF or visit our website.
1.2 Offline-first product
MeridianPDF is designed to process PDF files on your device. Document contents you open or edit in the application are not uploaded to Almiut Solutions servers as part of normal editing, OCR, conversion, printing, or saving workflows. Files remain under your control on your computer unless you choose to share them yourself (for example by email or another app).
1.3 Information we may collect
- Website contact form: If you send a message through our contact page, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you provide, delivered via your email client to our support address.
- Download / support requests: Information you voluntarily send when requesting downloads, licenses, or support.
- Website technical data: Standard web server or hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. We do not use this to read your PDF files.
- Optional analytics: If we enable privacy-respecting analytics on the website in the future, we will update this policy. MeridianPDF itself is not required to phone home to function.
1.4 How we use information
- To respond to support, feedback, and licensing questions
- To improve MeridianPDF and our website
- To protect against abuse of download links or services
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations when required
1.5 Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate email, hosting, or distribution, only as needed to provide those services, or when required by law.
1.6 Retention
Support and contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable business records, then deleted or archived according to our internal practices.
1.7 Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information we receive. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your devices, accounts, and downloaded installers safe, and for verifying published checksums before installing software.
1.8 Children
MeridianPDF is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
1.9 Your choices
You may request access to or deletion of personal information you have sent us by contacting us through the contact page. Because MeridianPDF works offline, most document data never leaves your device and is managed by you locally.
1.10 International users
If you contact us from another country, your message may be processed where we operate. By using the website or contacting us, you understand that information may be handled in those locations subject to applicable law.
1.11 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the website or software after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.

2.12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Almiut Solutions W.L.L’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country provide otherwise.
2.13 Changes to terms
We may revise these Terms of Use. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
